Even if Eva Longoria is on the centerfold, magazines are tech zombies. They’re deader than doornails. Anything anyone could ever want to read is already online. The only reason these magazines are still around is because some people actually find meaning in the printed word. That, and the glut of advertising plastered all over magazine pages. Advertising revenues allow magazines to continue operating even if they make practically close to nothing in mag sales. Oh, and did I say the same is true of newspapers as well?
2. Video games on disc
The record stores are dying and so are video game discs. In three years, they might no longer be around. The only reason they are still around today is because there are still a fair number of consoles that are still not hooked up to the Internet
3. MP3 players
The only reason MP3 players are still in the neighborhood is the same one GPS navigators and digital cameras have not been completely buried - yet. However, as memory and processors become exponentially smaller and smaller by the way, expect the cell phone to swallow up every device in your home and make it seem useless in comparison. Experts predict that by 2020, you won’t be needing your laptop anymore. Your cell phone can be your laptop, or your desktop, and your MP3 player, and your digital camera, and your GPS navigator — everything, in fact, except your wife.
